    Update to iOS 4.3.2?

Should I update to iOS 4.3.2?
I'm having issues with my jailbroken iPhone 4 and I want to upgrade to iOS 4.3.2 (i'm on 4.2.1).
I'm fine with using a tethered jailbreak until untethered comes out (its expected soon) but I need to know a few things:
    1. As a jailbreaker, should I update? I heard it updates the baseband permanently, so will that affect anything like jailbreaking and such?
    2. Is there anyway to save all the stuff I downloaded from cydia (like sbsettings, activator, scrolling folders, etc...) so that I can just click a button after I update and it will download and install all over again? Or do I have to search through for each package and download them then? Cause that would suck...
    3. Can anyone explain to me simply what unlocking means? I have a 3 yr contract with Rogers so what exactly is unlocking? I don't think I care about unlocking from what I know about it..

Thank you for any help you can provide me with!

    Update to iOS 4.3.2?

    hello!

Firstly let me say that 4.3.2 is supposed to have some bug fixes and does not really have any major changes... i have not upgraded yet as i dont like tethered jailbreaks..

but baseband does upgrade and you cannot downgrade once you officially upgrade to it, that is true of any baseband.. but baseband is only for those who care about unlocking their device to use on another gsm network other then the one it might be locked to and yours is rogers?.. so you would not need to worry about that at all, you can save your shsh blobs if you want so you have the ability to downgrade firmwares, personally i never do it as i never want to downgrade no matter what but maybe you might want to..

you can pay for an app in cydia called pkgbackup that uses itunes to backup links to your jailbroken apps in our contacts that gets saved in itunes.. or a free alternative called aptbackup. you basically can upgrade firmware then re download the backup app you use and it wil re install it all, provided you have all the repos added where you got the files from

    there is a tethered jailbreak

you have to download 4.3.1 firmware and when the tool asks you, you have to point it to the 4.3.1 firmware and do the same process as you would for 4.3.1 and it will give you a tethered jailbreak.
