A good part of US manufacturing is exported to emerging economies that choose to afford better products. That is a matter of choices made.

okay, but the us manufacturing sector is barely increasing, and the next ISM reading may show contraction.
and, companies now do "just in time" shipping. its simply not going to be an engine for job growth.
