Also are there any 3rd party insurances that dont require a deductable(90$ plus 8$ a month...no thanks) Wirefly offered one, but wirefly is a joke(i went to frys and bought mine for 38$)

What does rooting do?(I know it unlocks it to a world of unless possibilities, but how much better can droid get?)

I am on the original droid, i cant imagine how fast the new ones are...
sometimes i forget it is a phone not a computer.

My Hero may already be dead. Had it and my Blackberry (on call this weekend) in my rabroad City bag then it started raining while I was rabroadming. Apparently that plastic liner inside the bag doesn't do shit ...both phone are in bags of rice, so I'm hoping for the best, although they probably sat in water for a while with the battery feeding power, so I'm guessing they shorted themselves and are gone

A buddy of mine told me he fixed a co-workers iPhone that was dropped in a toilet by taking it apart and cleaning the logic board connections with rubbing alcohol. They may be salvageable.

so i upgraded to 2.2 on my original motodroid and ever since, my email doesnt auto refresh. i can manually do it, but i liked when it notified me whenever i got email. i have been through ALL the menus about notifications and refreshing and everything and cant find an option to put it back on. anyone?

p.s. i would like to second hobo's question about rooting and what good it is. everyone talks about it. im on verizon btw

Put both phones right behind the Xbox (where the fan is) while I watched movies yesterday. Last night both booted up, BB doesn't repond to the keyboard, Hero boots up and works fine the screen just looks like crap. New LCD screen is only $50 so I'm planning on just replacing it myself. Just glad it's working alright.
