My parents left town the other day and decided to unplug the car battery in order to save power or prevent me from driving the car or something. Unfortunately, now I have to move the car (because it's parked in our neighbor's spot). I popped the hood and saw that there was a metal loop that seemed to fit around a knob on the battery, so I fit it back in place. Then when I tried to start the car, the electricity in the car seemed to work, but the car just made a clicking noise when I turned the key in the ignition. I searched online and read that this sound usually means a dead battery. However, I doubt this is the case because my dad had been driving the car just fine before he left town. I am thinking there might have been something else my dad fiddled around with that I didn't notice. Does anyone know what might have happened?
