I have a 2002 rm125 and when i try to start it, it makes a sound like the piston is hitting somthing.and its hard to kick start it. but it cant be the piston cuz i just got a new one put in. so what can it be???

Well, wrist pin comes to mind as being loose and jamming something. I would say take the bike back to who ever did the top end rebuild and let them check it out.
your other choices are-try finding out the problem yourself, but since you said the engine was just rebuilt I suspect that something failed
