    (2) RockFord Fosgate 12" DVC P3's, Hifonics 2000 watt mono 1 ohm stable amp?

Is this a good match? p3s rated at 500 rms, 1000 watt max.
gunna run them parallel so theres a one ohm load on the amp.
My main question is do i need an amp that big?
Will the amp overpower the subs?
    Suggestions welcome.
    I thank you in advance.

I have a similar set up in my car and you should be fine i have the same hifonics amp with 2 CVR's and i dont have them wired parallel and i suggest you do that too at first until you break the subs in and then if you think you're ready then wire them parallel and turn the gains all the way down and work your way up slowly so you dont overpower the subs and blow them because if your not smart you will.
but go ahead with this setup it will pound real hard and be prepared to fix all the things that will fall apart on your car because that amp puts out some serious power
