I am a Professional photographer of over 20 years and other than the basics I always rent.
This allows me to use different systems and I can taylor the camera and the lighting set up to the specific job.
In today ever changing world most likely the system you will use will be obsolete before you can get full value out of it.
I am not sure what rental Houses are in Riverside county, But In LA there is Calument, Pix, Edge, PRS and Samys.
Good Luck
It usually makes more sense to rent the studio with the equipment supplied. Depending upon the size studio and amount of equipment needed for the shot, it can vary from $260 for a four hour rental to over $2,000 for all day. The cool thing is you can hire one of the studio's assistants and that will make your shoot setup go just that much faster.
Unless you are going to be using a studio for over about 50 days a year, renting is the most economical way to go ... plus the rental can be billed directly to the client.
