I had CP2000 notice from IRS due to my mistake. I was in a hurry that years and missed to mark short selling and a coupe of dividents I received. I gave the list of stock trading from accounting software I use and others to amend my 2006 return.

This CPA I found is charging me $1500 for correcting my mistake ,saying it took him two days to do mine. I had about 50 trading that year. I already paid him without much thinking but all of my friends are saying it's rip-off and this CPA will not give me itemized receipts. I didn't ask about fee since this one was referred by a friend of mine and heard this one was cheap.

I want to know if that is reasonable charge and if not, is there anything I can do? I live in Dallas, Texas
