i need some facts on sexism in sport?

i'm doing a lesson plan for part of my course and apart from brainstorming and watching a short video i wanted to do a quiz to make people realise how bad sexism is in sport. i wanted statistic facts more than anything such as 1 in 10 blah blah blah blah lol
Louise C - i understand men and women can't compete together but they dont recieve equal coverage or pay; such as in tennis prize money is lower for women because there seen as 'less entertaining'! how is that not sexism?

I don't really know what you are hoping to achieve by doing this. Most sports have seperate events for men and women,, so I don't know where sexism comes into it. Unless you imagine that it is sexist to segregate men and women in sport. However, if women and men competed in the same events, women would have no chance at all of ever winning, so I don't think this would be very helpful.

People watch what interests them you can't force them to watch women's sport if they don't want to.

Except female tennis and gymnastics ok and athletics they are interesting to watch in those. In most other sports sorry but they really do suck.

Actually women in tennis get paid similar despite the fact they do 3 sets whilst men to 5 sets.

People do not want to watch it neither women or men which is why there is no coverage. The NBA funds is actually used to sustain the WNBA

Female sports reporters fought and are allowed into mens locker rooms.

Men cant go into womens locker rooms after their games.

Is that sexism?

Women confuse sexism with lack of interest. I don't even see women knocking down the doors to go see a WNBA game.
