The fact of the matter is, the fingerprints were a crucial piece of evidence and the police were too goddamn lazy, if there were any fingerprints on the gun at all (assuming a ghost didn't do it) they could either have belonged to Kurt or they could have been someone elses... Thing is we don't know, and the only thing that could really prove that Kurt killed himself would be his fingerprints on the weapon he allegedly used to get the job done, but it was already quickly established by the authorites and media that it was suicide dispite the complete lack of evidence (aside from the Suicide Letter of course, but then again, the letter is also one of the things that points out to another possibility than suicide, primarly because the second half is in a completely different style of handwritting), this is simply because of really bad police work, there is absolutely nothing that single handedly proves that he killed himself, then of course to be fair there is nothing that single handedly prooves that he didn't, which at least means the it's a worthy topic of debate rather them something where you can just be a complete assh*le about it and shrug off someone as being a idiot for believing in one thing or another, that being said, I don't directly believe that someone had him killed, but I leave it open as a possibility.
