Well he said he rooted it. But, he also can not get the phone to boot up properly.
Also. Im pretty sure he is only talking about the current state he is in. I've had no data issues with any app yet. Heck, pdanet even works great.

I'm sure they will tack on some kind of "smartphone" or "3g" data plan cost.
As for the Web being horrible on the Evoke... I don't think it was the web, There are a lot of people who have the "evoke" data plan on other phones and are having no problems. The Problem with the web on the evoke, was the evoke. That phone was just one big pile of crap.
The video said full retail would be $169-$219 before promotions. i'll bet we'll see it priced $99-$149 in test markets. $149-$199 in regular markets.
It would probably be pretty hard to aggregate all of those local taxes.
Cricket doesn't know if your flashed phone is Android or not. It's simply not worth it to track every MEID for every phone ever made. You'll go on whatever plan you'd like with a flashed device, but they won't guarantee anything will work.
Just in case anyone thought I was posting confidential information, I was not. All of this info has been posted to the web already.

The video states that full retail will be between $169 and $219 before promotions! It also states a Q2 launch and that the device was being shown by Cricket at the event, so they will be a launch partner for the device. It actually looks pretty decent.
You forgot to paint Cricket with that brush. . . .
Fail on top of fail, if you ask me.
Is anyone able to surf the web over wifi when they're talking on the phone?
That would be awesome. I've never used a phone this advanced before, so it's all new to me.
Thanks for the reply!
They said from the beginning that they're not official. Cricket has no Zio page. They did have contact with the people running it though. It's just Zio fans congregating.
The phone was made by Sanyo. It will say Sanyo on the phone, not Kyocera. Sigh of relief right?
