Most Disturbing Moment In A Film

Not an obvious one, but I've always found the scene in Casualties of War, where a buck-toothed young lad who's villiage has been invaded by Sean Penn and Co, get's his brains smashed in with the butt of a gun disturbing. I watched that recently, so it sticks in my mind.

Most Disturbing Moment In A Film

The most disturbing scene that I've ever seen is this scene in Hostel: Part II where a naked woman was hanging naked upside down, then this older woman enters, she undresses, she then lies underneath the naked woman was hung naked upside down and then the older woman starts cutting the woman hung upside down to death whilst bathing in the blood.
I do apologize if your watching this and your eating something.

Most Disturbing Moment In A Film

I saw the American remake of Funny Games not so long ago. That was quite disturbing. I haven't seen the original German version, though. Has anyone seen both, and have views on which is more unpleasant?

Was Requiem For A Dream the American film following in parallel the separate lives of three different drug addicts, two of them female, all of different ages and living in very different circumstances?

Most Disturbing Moment In A Film

Funny Games (original german version), I was speechless with shock when the film ended. The whole film fills me with dread/horror. Especially the alternative version, which suddenly rewinRAB, proving its not the real ending- and the sudden ending of the wife at the end! There is no let-up throughout the entire movie.

Requiem For A Dream- again, the whole film is one of slowdread/horror- The end sequence, the sex-club scene with the x2 girls was vile and also the scene of the mother going crazy realy freaked me out.

Hostel 1 - truly scary (and original, making the guys the victims, for a change)
Hostel 2 - Made me sick with the murder of the girl, cut up by the female in the bath (ref to Countess Bathory), it seemed like this was 'torture porn' to me, made me feel like a voyuer- yuk!
(For the above reason, I've put a halt on watching Irreversable).

Theres a scary, creepy scene in Day Of The Locust at the end, where Donald Sutherland stamps on a young girl (to death) who's teasing him, its vile.

The Shining still scares me. The music, the slow dread, the blood gushing from the lift, and the scene where Wendy finRAB Jacks 'manuscript' AAAARGH!

But for my ultimates: I give you Salems Lot!!!

To this day, I still hold my hanRAB over my face, when the KiRAB come up to the window and start scratching! And sudden shots of Barlows face!

And also the scene in ALien, where it corners Lambert, its tail goes btwn her legs, and all you hear is her screams, that always scared me.

I can only think of one at the moment and it probably isn't even that bad compared to others on here

In The Incredibles when Mr Incredible is looking through a list of all his frienRAB after being attacked and it says he's dead, and he realises that all of his frienRAB have been killed.
