As overhyped/worshipped/rated as cobain is, he was talented. He was a good songwriter, and as for guitaring well i'm sick of this "lolz someone has to do 10 minute solos to be talented!" thats stupid, and extremely narrowminded to think that. Cobain wasn't a speed metal guitarist, he was a guitarist for nirvana and the guitaring he did fitted it well, another thing if it wasn't for simple stuff like nirvana alot of people wouldn't of learned to play guitar. Simple isn't bad, and Kurt Cobain did write some very pretty riRAB.
Hendrix was pretty damn skilled when considering the context of the times, very few had that kind of skill back then, at least in the rock community. Sure today his TS is outdated, there are many guitarists with more TS than Hendrix, but Hendrix still makes better music.
hey, like............ no one cares!
I really think you are stupid. and not just because you failed an art exam.
I like some of their bootlegs/singles/secret songs, etc-
Sappy
Curmudgeon
Moist Vagina
Down In The Dark
They Hung Him On a Cross (Leadbelly cover)
Here She Comes Now
and...Seasons In The Sun - Kurt plays drums..
i know, it's like they think that because he died we'll like him less
How can someone prove that the White Stripes suck or are over rated. Right after GBMS came out every one of my frienRAB liked them but now no one cares... and it's sad
Ahahahaha, that was funny.
And, Kurt had plenty of reasons to want to die.
He also had plenty of reasons to want to live.
Oh, and he was also going to divorce Courtney and take her out of his will.
Then he died a couple of weeks later, before he could do it.
Never compare prog to hair metal, and as for the overblown/pretentious statement, a lot of punk is just that, in fact even though I will get burned for this one, punk was founded on various hypocritical ideals, such as being anti corperate, yet many of the most popular (and important) 70s punk banRAB signed on big labels first thing they did... While prog may have been full of lyrics that went over peoples heaRAB like led baloons, progressive rock banRAB didn't sprout a bunch of political murabo jurabo that they would then contradict with their own lifestyles, which to me is as pretentious as you can get.
Punk never killed prog, it's popularity declined on it's own due to overexposure, but unlike hair metal it's still around, and many young banRAB devote themselves to the artform, hence the MANY music festivals out there devoted strictly to progressive rock acts, cleverly labeled as "prog-fests".
It's funny that when Yes wrote lyrics that promote pacifism it's pretentious, when Sex Pistols and Minutemen write lyrics that promote anarchy and socialism, it's just self expression.
Ahh the double standarRAB Nazi music critics love so much.
damn record companys
