you didn't like her voice changes on Caught a Lite Sneeze?
you didn't like her voice changes on Caught a Lite Sneeze?
if only the world liked The White Stripes then the world would be happier and eat more biscuts
You morons read the thread starter!
First of all, YOU are the vocalist, because this is your dream band.
Second, I said dead people don't matter. If they played in their past life, eg Lennon, then it counts.
I went to an effort to do all that red fancy crap and you lot don't even read it. Slack ****ers.
Not bad, to much of a mix and match though. Flea plays a completely different style than all the others, but still, not to shabby.
Why not?, none of them are really progressive rock musicians persay, but if they tried something of that style, they could make it work. They have the technical ability, and they certainly have the song crafting ability...The Who are not prog, but they did influence prog in some respects, making the rock opera (a prog trademark) popular, and i personly consider Tommy and Quadrophena very progressive albums, even though the who were more along the lines of pure ass kicking rock n roll than they were prog...Zeppelin clearly had progressive elements, battle of evermore was very prog for its time, and HOTH didnt have one song in 4/4 time i believe, it was in most respects, a prog album...And Hendrix even admited to having a interest in progressive rock music, he suposedly additioned for a band featuring Kieth Emerson, Greg Lake and Carl Palmer and they had a rehersal recording set for at least 2 weeks after hendrix died, had he lived, they would have carried on with their project, and had it worked, the name of the band would have been Hendrix, Emerson, Lake and Palmer or HELP, that would have been awesome. =)
don't u like them?
The simple answer is I couldn't at this juncture. This is no comment on your intelligence LesPaul but you havn't learned to appreciate imperfection, and to me, thats my bread and butter. I can love Fantasy metal as much as the next guy, where it plays like a sound track to some heroic dreamscape where you rule, but I know all to well that life is nothign like that, and when im staring down reality, I want mistakes, I like flat notes and fret buzz and **** ups.
imperfection is honesty. Its as simple as that. Waits voice, Jacks playing, those things that tell me this is guy who actually sat at the counter drinking coffee with every other working class shlub after work depressed about how life was. Even when their singing about ****ing chicks, its not that phony R&B ****, this is a guy whos telling you ever raw and dirty move that he'd do to her. And regardless how how smoothe R&B is, despite the fact that he wants to "make love to her on a bed of rose petals" he's thinking the same thing as the blues man, or the folk trubador, or the country guy that tells it like it is.
My mantra has always been the following: Given the choice of being up in a pentahouse or down in the mud, I'd always choose the mud. The Penthouse can be taken away in an instance, and it would be ungoldy hell to go from luxery to a state of nature. But the mud is reality, the mud is always there, no one ever takes the mud away, they couldn't if they even wanted to.
In short, I keep things nice and dirty. As it should be, as it will come to again.
I'd sooner be the manager of said team as I have an amazing voice, but it travels a rough passage and all that.
Ps I'm not a moron.I prefer "pillock"
My team: Well I'm going for a stock standard setup...
Guitarist: Dimebag Darrel
Basist: Flea
Drums: Danny Carey
Man, what I wouldn't give to have that lineup behind me.
there a little over the boarder of cerebral for most people, You actually need to listen to the lyrics.
If not for the lyrics, songs like "HanRABprings would be god aweful"
