Sorry but this solution not work form me Winswup message "NO Bootcore detecded" and if put back resistor don't show this message but don't start the update.
LITTLE STORY:
I have a C55 whit warranty vers. 14 and I have used Updatetool for upgrade to vers. 18 but at 50/60% stop and show "Can't connect to the mobile" and phone now is dead
SIEMENS when you make a good software for update your phones also when is the same programs to kill the phone??
I am very angry for this situation but i go in Center Siemens for resolve the problem.

pS. Wizard not work for me start flashing address 00000....and nothing.

I have also dead C55 when I put restore bin eeprom file.This eeprom file was from the phone and now only goes "beep" like wrong software.Tell me solution...

so your backup is faulty.
Got a good backup from other C55 and flash your phone,
after that uploading working map will revive the phone,
