You're god-fucking-damn-right it was.
Earth 2 wasn't very good but this is bloody great.
Who and what genre?
I have two other albums of theirs that I have'nt yet checked out but I don't have the E.P. I only heard the album today at work but it got 3 continuous plays.
I only got that one after the JH-approved 'This Is Augustus Pablo' which is brilliant in different ways, there seems to be more Pablo in that one and less of Tubby's tinkerings.
Will make my way to 10ft deffo. Oh and I just got a 'Heavyweight Dub Champion' by Scientist He is like the continuation of Tubby in a way, really exciting to listen to.
The Raymond Brake-Piles of Dirty Winter
This album is the closest thing I've ever heard that Polvo-Today's Active Lifestyles. It's a little bit I guess poppy is the word and accessible but at the cost of nothing it's an amazing album.
The Zorabies - Odyssey and Oracle
Yeah, I just don't really have as much time as before that I could use getting into new albums. Plus there's tons of cool stuff I'm rediscovering as a result, which is always cool.
The Future Sound Of London - Lifeforms
^ I bloody love this album. A lot more subtle than just about everything else they've done, but it's still packed with some great, dark arabient atmospherics, terrific beats - just an all-round keeper this.
Global Communication - 76:14
^ Wasn't so keen on this at first, but I was doing some work earlier with this in the background, and god damn did it click! Amazing album - kinda neo-classical, dark arabient stuff and another terrific album.
edit: PS - Alfie are awesome
Jacob's ladder is an awesome song
Actually, the entire Permanent Waves album is gold! Spirit of radio is my all time favorite rush song.
Just that, i haven't given their other stuff a good listen yet.
EDIT:
Next Album-
Russian Circles-Enter
From being quiet to bursting out as heavy as Isis, this album amazes me!
9/10...Superb instrumental stuff.
Recommended for Isis/Pelican fans.
Genesis-Nursery Cryme
Been quite a while since i listened to them...Refreshingly good.(although i have listened to it b4)
I just love the keyboarRAB and the dark sound of the album...can't suggest any favorites cuz all the tracks are equally good.
