Menomena- Mines
Really interesting stuff, love the instrumentals there is so much going on with the horns and guitars and drums but it is all put together so well. Love the vocals too.

Definitely worth checking out man, I can send you the two albums if you want.
yeah, just fixed the censoring![]()
Pretty weak as far as desert rock goes. They always were a cheap Kyuss ripoff.
Ahhh, pulse, what a great album it was! I had the deluxe packaging version with the little pulsating LED in the spine part of the cover... that cthing actually kept flashng until a couple of years ago... pretty remarkable, I thought... I actually read somewhere about how to change the battery for that light... but I am really not sure if I am pedantic enough to try...
Fun band, their lyrics are just rhyming about nothing really, nonsense about getting your shades and water pistol and stealing the sun, but despite them being simple they're decent lyrics.
They asked me why I looked like a lobster, I blamed it on my ex who went to uni and I lost 'er. - love that line.
I bet it's a good album to drive to.![]()
Paul Weller loves them, apparently their next album will be more politicised.
Was that album named after the baby shampoo?

Cocteau Twins are awesome mostly because she sings whatever and it sounRAB so emotional and deep without having any meaning.
Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy
I've yet to hear Presence, In Through the Out Door, and Coda in their entirety, but I can confidently say that this is my favorite Zeppelin album. Not every song is perfect ("The Crunge", eww) but it's darn close otherwise.
Fuuuck...if any Zeppelin song was ever too short, it's "No Quarter".
Glad to hear you liked it! That was one of my first jazz albums too. Considering your love of IDM and post-rock, I bet there's a lot of jazz out there that you'd really like.
