OK, I can do everything up until the point where you go into the start menu, sony ericson, then the only option it gives me is DRM packager.....i need help!!! please
i used to have the other walkman phone, w8 something and it was as simple as creating a .dm file and dragging and dropping it into the memory card file on my phone...this one is difficult haha
please help me
The file size still needs to be under 600 kb, so the file might need to be reduced, but after that the .wma works like a charm.
Ok. Give me a bit as I'm on holidays right now. I shall do what I can to put a video together and stick it on Youtube or something.
I'll check the link to make sure it still works. If it does, you may have to redownload the software and also you'd have to go into your REMOVE APPLICATIONS and remove what's in there now before you try to reinstall it.
UPDATE: Just checked the link, everything seems to work fine. I am using WindowsXP. I'm thinking this may be a problem with Windows Vista. Anyone have success with this via Windows Vista???
I am having the same problem also I do not see the two folder under my cellular phone in file manager. As well when I try to copy the mp3 in there it says I cannot copy. I am in phone mode as well.
Also with DRM I am having the same problem as a previous poster where DRM is not creating a file.
Rock on dude.
Worked like charm. While Phone Operators are doing everything to get our money, I am glad that there is people out there that are doing everything to prevent that.
Thanks a Lot
I will make sure this information get spread around sony users in Brazil
So how long should it take?
The file is only 55.5KB...
and no pop up shows...
Also, when I try to put it into the phone memory, it just says Operation Not Allowed.
Am I doing something wrong, or has anyone come across this?
Ahhh...I figured it out. Drag the file onto My Sony Ericsson w580, not the memory folder.
I'd change the wording...
in the adding it to your phone section, step 6,
IGNORE
High light the .DM file you made out of your MP3 and drag it to the MyPhoneExplorer and put it under the Memory Stick folder and the Phone Memory folder.
INSTEAD,
High light the .DM file you made out of your MP3 and drag the file onto My Sony Ericsson w580 folder.
Continue with step 7, Check your phone.
This is awesome by the way, I had found these instructions, but it didn't tell you how to load it onto your phone, which was a problem. And also, this is how to load themes that you've downloaded. Drag the file onto My Sony Ericsson w580 folder. Then set it when the phone prompts.
