As there is no problem having 1 receiver and moving it from Home to Cottage, connecting the Phone Line would be acceptable in either location, IMHO.

I think Bell requires you to call and change the primary residence and phone number whenever a receiver is moved. Even though there is nothing "wrong" with moving the receiver, it could cause an issue with Bell. I wouldn't connect the phone line.
Is it recommended that I plug only 1 of my 3 boxes to a phone line or just leave them all unplugged? I have a phone jack beside by bedroom TV, but not in my basement or living room to plug into.
Would I more likely get a call from CSR because 1 of my 3 boxes is plugged, or if none of my 3 boxes are plugged into the phone line?
You will never get a call only if you have all receivers connected to the phone line , so it does not really matter if you have one connected or none.
