you don't think a $6 trillion fine would have an effect on oil prices?

MMS is going to cost the operators so much money over the next few months/years
Since you have great contacts in the industry, why don't you tell us why BP didn't start with the top kill in the first place?
I'm sure they are all good people who care about the environment there so much that they would gladly permanently plug up a productive well with mud and cement ASAP in order to protect the environment. They definitely wouldn't drag their feet on something like that. Especially with all those strict regulations and safety procedures they came up with with the MMS officials over dinners at Ruth's Chris and comped blow jobs from $1000 hookers in Vegas hot tubs.
Tell us about how responsible BP is and how safe everything is, since you're the industry insider. Tell us about how a spill that's already bigger than Exxon Valdez isn't going to have any economic effect on people who depend on the Gulf for their living (people who don't work for BP, I mean)
Tell us about how huge fucking tarballs washing up on the beaches here in Florida is going to have no economic impact on our tourist industry.
Gulf will survive. The mississippi river is more fucked anyways.
Wells have been leaking since Katrina.
We will all live.
meh
was just about to post this.
they're gonna lose a lot of money out of this, they're gonna have to help with clean up, they lost an oil rig, they got a lot of their staff (probably paying them a shit load of overtime to fix the situation) and im sure there's a lot more they're gonna pay for right now
maybe they wanted BP to take them out of their debt
this outta be good
I don't know how the general public got so stupid. It is amazing.
