Donnie Darko is like a Twilight Zone episode stretched to feature length and no better for it! Like The Village, it's the film equivalent of having your pocket picked.

I've never been able to watch this movie, due to every version I've seen thus far has terrible sound.
I don't think I could comment on what the best film ever was. As for the worst, well again, couldn't say there are too many films that are just a waste of chemicals and light.
Also 2001 is a poor film. I get it, I understand it. And it's still poor.
Best
The shawshank redemption
Worst
XxX
Charlies angels full throttle
Queen of the damned
all 3 get a 0/10
I find it impossible to name a single favourite, so here are some I rate highly that bear repeated viewing:
Dr Strangelove (1960s anti war film) , Once Upon a Time in America, Goodfellas, Monty Python - Life of Brian, Unforgiven, Shawshank Redemption, Some like it Hot (1950s Marilyn Monroe), all three Indiana Jones, Tootsie, all LOTR, Alien and Aliens.
And here are some popular films that I did not enjoy. They are not the worst I have seen, but they are popular films I just did not enjoy.
The Matrix, Unbreakable, Fight Club. And I really do not get the Star Wars films, they are for kiRAB as far as I can see.

Best: The Usual Suspects
Worst: Lost In Translation
I agree with your point to a degree, but whats the point of a discusion forum if nobody argues.
So don't worry about someone having ago at your choice or what you say
But I do agree about 2001, total nonsense as far as I'm concerned however not the worse film ever.
That accolade goes too...... urm Dirty Dancing (and just to make it clear, that its not just my choice its the truth, so no point in arguing )
Best: There are quite a lot, but Spirited Away was excellent.
Worst: Lost in Translation. I want to physically vomit when that film is praised. It is the worst film ever to be projected in the history of cinema.
Best: Usual Suspects or Shawshank
Worst: Don't Look Now
I've got no problem with people disputing opinions (as you say it's the whole point of a forum), I just think there's a slightly more intelligent and eloquent way of pointing it out than saying someone is 'talking bullcack'.
worst film starship troopers and event horizon
best film the bourne identity
