Southland at times just comes off as a poor man's The Wire at times especially with the guy who played Avon playing basically West Coast Avon
I'd much prefer the beat cops to the detectives.
Anyway back to Mad Men I am guessing Christmas soon that should be interesting.
I think that was the idea Laughing Fairy, and they made the line ambiguous just so that you would have to think about it.
They're damn clever, those Mad Men writers!
I'm an avid Mad Men watcher...it is beautifully written and deliciously filmed and I am hooked...I really think the way the characters have developed is awesome...must see TV as far as I am concerned...

Her experience really resonates with me. I've seen older female relatives from that generation absolutely filled with pent-up frustration and resentment at not being allowed to achieve in their own right.
In a way it's good that (presumably) younger people watching don't quite 'get' her situation.

As regarRAB last nights episode, its easy to be seduced by Don Draper (I hear!) but lets face it he's more than a bit flawed.
I liked the story with Harry Crane (copywriter) and his pay rise woe.

What a classy, fantastic show 10/10. Mad Men and Damages have been the highlights of the TV year
