Thread: Pretties help? I don't understand the consept.?

In the uglies series, Im reading the book pretties. I don't understand how Shay's cutting was a cure. And I don't understand the whole ping thing. And nor do I understand the bubbly thing.

-Bubbly is basically a rush of adrenaline that makes them aware and there vision "clear" instead of fuzzy and vague (the pretty surgery makes their minds dull)
- Cutting makes Shay bubbly because it shocks her, making her vision clear and less pretty-headed
- Ping is basically a futuristic way of calling people. They have the things in their head to communicate with each other and "pings" are simply alerts and ways to communicate
