'05 Honda Should I Trade or Wait?

I have an 05 Honda and I have 3 years left on the payment. I am far from upside down on it and it has good mileage. Since the economy isn't doing so hot right now, I figured now would be a better time than any to take advantage of it. Should I pay my car off or get a 36 month loan on another vehicle? Any car folks out there with sound advice?

Any time you trade in a car or buy a new one you will lose money, I've read that the most economical thing to do is buy a used car that is two or three years old with low miles, pay cash and then keep it till you run it into the ground...
