i've had a lot of trouble getting some documents right for a printer and they said there was an issue printing a grey pantone. when they sent me a proof, all black and white images were missing on it, but the printer assured me they were showing up on his end and that the printer would print from the original pdf, not the proof. so basically my question is, if i properly link black and white images into indesign and convert the entire document to cmyk while creating a pdf, should there be any reason that they wouldn't show up in the document or have trouble printing? they said if they had trouble that they would let me know, but i have a deadline and i'm freaking out that there will be an issue and the images will turn up missing. i've taken print classes and such but never did i ever hear about a large scale printer not being able to print grey..
