Opinion on Financial Industry Reform and Health Care Overhaul?

Just curious, what do you think the role of government should be in both of these cases?

Financial Industry Reform is a must. Credit Swaps, dark market trading are the reason for the financial crisis. And that is just for starters. Banking loan requirements must always be prudent and relative to statistical inference. We have too many idiots carrying signs and protesting about the wrong thing. Obama is not the culprit. The sign carrying idiots need to find out what the reason for the bailout was and campaign to correct that problem.

Health care overhaul is a must. Skyrocketing prices cannot be sustained by our society. The idiots who think Obamacare is bad need to get a crystal ball. Obama care is not perfect by a long shot but doing nothing is a guaranteed disaster. I think people should be considered part of the infrastructure. And healthcare a structural problem that can impede commerce. Which it is and does. People need to be educated as to how healthcare contributes to jobs being sent overseas and to how it is a obstacle to entrepreneurs creating new business and more jobs. The implications of the global market place are not understood by too many in this country. They can't seem to understand that a part of the General Motors problem is that they must compete with companies overseas with better cost structures.

Jake I know you know what I mean. It is up to us to get the word out. As yu can see from your other responses we have too many in the dark. We are going to have to make people understand what it means when a good life in China cost 3.000 bucks a year.
