I want to download limewire or frostwire, but I have a few questions before I do anything.

First off, I heard that they are file-sharing programs, so when you use them, other people can view your files? Is there a way that I can prevent that from happening?

Also, I heard that limewire takes up all your bandwidth space and causes everything else to become slow. If I were to download it, get all the songs that I want, and then uninstall it from my laptop, would it remain slow, or would it go back to normal?

I have an antivirus software on my laptop, so would this keep it safe from becoming infected with any viruses I may download when I use lime/frostwire? Or could some viruses still get through the system and infect my computer?

And lastly, I'm wondering if there is anything else I should know about limewire or frostwire before I decide to use one of them.
