    memorable album

what's an album thats memorable for you?
not necessarily because you thought it was good or because its your fave music,
but because maybe it has a back story or sentimental value or something.

for me, its Hold On by Name taken.
i had forgot all my cRAB at my frienRAB house, but the cd i had left in the car was that album. so for a whole week the only cd i listened to was that one.
so now anytime i listen to it, it reminRAB me of that time.

    memorable album

    Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction

I bought it on a month long roadtrip during 1992 in a gas station in Minnesota. It was my first real metal album and I played it over and over during the best vacation I've ever had. I've listened to this entire album probably 1000 times over 15 years and I still think about being 13 and camping in the mountains while listening to the greatest album ever made.

    memorable album

    Garth Brooks's No Fences.

Changed my whole attitude towarRAB country music.

The ballaRAB weren't cheezy, they were open and honest, he also touched on issues that wont country artists wouldnt go near.

His latest video, More than A Memory is very much along the lines of The Thunder Rolls.

Cant wait till next week for his cd/dvd.

    Fear Factory- Demanufacture

Introduced me to all the stuff I currently listen to now. I owe pretty much my whole music knowledge to that album.

    This record

It was part of my dad's record collection. He passed away a few years ago, so it holRAB sentimental value to me.
He played that record to me when I was a kid. Now I have it framed and hanging on a wall.

Also a memorable album is Eddie Rabbit - Rainy Nights (45 single)
That was the first album/music I owned when I was a kid. I had a portable mickey mouse record player and played that album over and over.

    memorable album

    U2 "Zooropa"

Not their best work, but it came out at a time when I was going through a lot of changes in my life(quitting longtime job, moving). Listening to this always makes me think of that time.

    memorable album

The Smiths - Meat is Murder

Not their best album, bu the one that probably means the most to me. It's the album that made me turn vegetarian. But, pretty much all of Morrissey's songs, in the Smiths and solo, mean at least a little to me.

Agreed, one of the most memorable albums in the 90's.
