Bony asses VS lard asses when choosing seats

I am thinking that the size of ones ass may have a great deal to do with seat preference.
I am scrawney with a bony ass.
I am leaning towards a Saddleman Explorer gel to replace the stock saddle on my M50.
Let's hear it for seat reccomendations for us
    underdeveloped glutes/non fatties.
Of course the calorically challenged are more than welcome to chime in
with the saddle of yer preference.
    Thank you
    SaB

Bony asses VS lard asses when choosing seats

MY scrawney bony ass, which somehow doesn't match my GUT that developed when I quit smoking...........says that it is harder for you and I to find a seat that is comfortable in the long run.

I've got a Shadow 600. The stock seat really wasn't that bad but my whole backside starts to cramp up at about 40 minutes or so. Gel pad on the stock seat seemed to make matters worse.

Got a Mustang (gulp $$$)....mostly because that seems to be the only one that does my model without sending IN the existing seat to be reworked......and they got good reports too.

So....the Mustang......is a little better, getting me up to an hour or so. I think I'm gonna end up with the Mustang AND a large gel pad which looks to go around 2 hours; partly because it allows me to squirm around more.

This bike seat thing is just a pain in the ass !! :lol4:

essentially, your butt can only get so numb.

looking at the air cushion seat myself.

Bony asses VS lard asses when choosing seats

I got the Suzuki gel seat when I bought the bike new. It cost about $200 and I don't think it's any better than the stock seat, I start getting sore at about 60 miles. I'd probably buy either a new Mustang seat or Corbin but don't want to waste another $340 to $400 and not have fixed the problem.

The only place I've found to rebuild the seat is here... Motorcycle Seat Cushions

Maybe while we're kicking this around there are some suggestions about where we could get a seat fixed up too, as another option.

I've owned the Mustang seat on my last Shadow and liked it quite a bit

I've sat on the Ultimate Seats and they're HUGE and comfortable.
    Nice, thick and wide.

    That's my 2 cents
