Wi-Fi? Ideally a slider, with at least a 2 megapixel camera and and extended memory slot.

Sony Ericsson P990, Nokia N80, Nokia E65 all 3 under $500 and they all have wi-fi and at least a 2mp camera and an upgradable memory
