HyperText Markup Language..

It is used throughout the internet as the standard basic way to code web pages.

This page is made up of a variety of HTML code (which makes simpler text, lowly interactive content etc) and other coding.

Most non-programmers use it on facebook and bebo in the from of tags such as BR, B, I, U, H1, held within tags (< >)

Html is not seen by the human, because the browser converts the code into the webpage that you are looking at

so see the HTML code right click on any website and "view source"
