My cats do the same thing especially when I give them treats like greenies. The vet said that a little blood is OK. If you cat is active and not lethargic , then he should be alright.

my kitty is 13 years old but shows no signs of aging whatsoever, always been healthy. sometimes if no ones home to let her out to do her business, she will poop in our bath tub. today she pooped in the tub, and when i went to clean it up, i noticed that it was normal solid stool (not runny) but there was a little quarter-sized pool of blood that seemed to occur at the beginning or end of the bowel movement (there was no blood mixed in the stool, the stool looked normal). i am obviously concerned and my parents will not take her to the vet about it since she is acting fine, and even if she wasnt fine i dont think the vet is an option
could it just be from constipation? ..
