and Louisiana as well as the entire western and southern coastlines of the gulf.
It doesn't really matter how bad or how minor any previous spill was.

Everyone knows its only spilling 5k barrels a day, troll attempt denied
... and all their equipment and designs met or exceeded all required codes. And since BP operates how many wells in the Gulf alone? So multiply how many millions (or like 10s of millions) of dollars per well of stuff YOU THINK they should have, but the government doesn't require, by the total number of wells there, and you're talking serious money ... for the first time there has been a disaster of this type in the Gulf in 40 years.
no let them keep downplaying it..because it only highlights their hypocrisy when they start talking about how this is obama's katrina and how bad this is for the present administration.
Its the worst catastrophe for Obama..but its not really THAT bad a bad catastrophe at all when you compare it to others.
Obama said oil rigs are safe HE LIED!!....but really oil rigs ARE safer now than theyve ever been and the fact that this is just the SECOND incident in some 35 years proves it.
OH the response from the administration was too slow and ineffective all those businesses and the environment are irreplaceable and gone!!!... But a spill this size can be cleaned up in about 5 years.
Very true, it's a disaster no matter how you look at it.
But, it's important to compare it to previous spills to know what to expect, what damage it will cause, and to have a proper perspective.
