Bypass is possible in some old version of G1.

or some rooted phone, where moded recovery image flashed.

Normally bypass not for all android phones. you must go trough the process.

need help about bypass problem in samsung l7500

i have several information of bypass without flashing after hard reset , htc g1 and other related phone, without flashing here is some information regarding this
find severice provide carrier like vodafone, for those who have vodafone operating in any country try to change APN, and save the APN address as follows, vender vodacom/vodafone, apn internet and other do not fill leave blank, then save, the gmail will ask you again to register and 3g will be activated then you can register whatever,
i will upload all carrier and other related information, i done today after follow instruction, those who said that you can activate without flashing it is true
