PBSHD Program Listings

Why is the channel guide not showing the correct listings for PBSHD.

There are apparently 2 PBSHD channels - 819 and 824. For a few weeks now (maybe longer) the two channels began both showing a western feed, despite the channel guide still showing the programming on PBSHDEast.

Now, the last day or so, the channels are showing the same programming, and NEITHER of the listings are correct. Tonight, neither of them are right. At this moment, my channel guide lists a Johnny Cash special for 819 and the Osmonds 50th anniversary special on 824. For some reason, both channels are showing the Dixie Chicks.......which ironically enough sits somewhere between Johnny Cash and the Osmonds in terms of musical quality........

Anyone care to explain? Is this a problem for me alone or a BEV wide issue?

Not only does it happen on BEV, but it's happened on Rogers several times in the past few months. I now have a contact at Rogers when this issue comes up and it gets fixed in 1-2 days. The first time the fix took a week.

People need to call in and complain when this happens.

I'm not sure if the issue is with PBS sending the incorrect information to the IPG supplier, or the IPG supplier providing the incorrect information to the service provider. I suspect the latter.

This typically happens during local PBS Pledge Drives.

The cable/satellite provider will receive the PBS HD Demo channel info and load it into the IPG. However, the local PBS station may simulcast their DT signal (with local Pledge programming) on the HD feed during this time.

SC actually got it right this time and loaded the WTVS-DT info into the IPG.

Seemed like it was right this morning, but i'll check tonight and see how it looks. i'll be sure to call BEV if it continues.
