GuestLast night there were strange flashes of light in the sky...?
and then there were these evil, pounding noises. I was getting really scared. I think my house might be haunted because my neighbor is one of those new age people that "communes with spirits" Also, it got really humid and rained before and after these episodes. Any ideas on what I can do to protect myself?
they sounded like rapidly expanding, superheated air...

If it's a poltergeist--and it PROBABLY is--sometimes it will hurl balls of ice at your house, as well. Ever seen anything like that?

only lightening and thunder, don't worry you will be ok.
Do not try to fly a kite with a key tied to the string.
and do use an umbrella when you go out during these times
