I got legacy mode to work, but I still am not able to open service book files to transfer. Still get "the data was not recognized by the desktop"???

by the way...my storm is verizon 9530 and I have flashed with 4399 prl using QPST 2.7 build 323.

Sorry for the really stupid question but you did extract the .zip file first right? You shouldn't have a problem with this .ipd as far as getting to to load but the mms isn't going to work since it still uses the old gateway ip address. The wap (internet) function should work just fine using these service books. I also have a 9530 and again never had a problem getting these books to load and I'm in the Pittsburgh area as well so our .prl should be the same. Good luck

I tried to extract the files in win zip, windows default zip program, and win rar. I am only able to access the file inside the package with win rar. The other two programs give me a corruption error. Could you get me the service book file somehow? Email? PM? I would be greatly appreciative. I can deal without mms until a solution comes up but I want the internet to work. I dont send or receive many pic messages anyhow.

apparently there is an issue with the file download. I tried on multiple computers with multiple zip software with no luck. I would appreciate a repost of the books.

Have these books been updated to fix the change that fried everyone's MMS? If not...they should be unstickied.

@Arkie..... they were fixed as soon as it was an issue but not yet made public

thread is still here as it is an option for those who want at least wap.... with a little work, im sure the mms issue can be looked at and fixed for your personal use. I will post the fix publicly in this thread with time.

Cain: Thanks for pointing me in the right direction regarding email. I now have full email capabilities on my storm using wifix and shangmail. Gratzi!
