Well, if they've used a more or less standard recipe, I would have survived. Even without tasting it. I've made it many, many times.
But they used black pepper, where I use Cayenne. Instead of olive oil I use rapeseed oil. I'm not that fond of olive oil.
I throw in some finely chopped potatoes to thicken the broth etc. Basically, anything goes. For instance a nice flaky haddock. My no. 2 favourite fish. No. 1 is mackerel, the king of fish.
On second thought. It would have been tough. I don't know if would have picked up the fennel seeRAB.
Bit supprised nobody mentioned saffron, as it's essential to the dish.
I still find this kind of elemination a bit lame. But it's much, much better than Masterchef UK did with the passion test. I'm glad they got rid of that ridiculous charade.
