What was the very first tort law?

I would like to know what was the very first tort law in history, and if it wasn't in UK, then what was the first in UK too, what the law was related to, and any sites I could look up for reference would also be helpful.
    Thanx

Probably at the beginning of cities, when someone stole someone's camel and the leaders had to determine a remedy. Even after the Magna Carta, most "trials" were just people talking from memory about what happened. There was little "rule of law" but the concept of "making someone whole" in the case of theft of property is probably the oldest concept.
