OK, im just curious, as a southerner who hasn't ventured out of the Deep South much, except for Mexico and Boston, what are some food/culture traditions in the Northern US? OK, for example, Southerners love fried chicken, country fried steak, sweet tea, grits, football, baseball rap/soul/r&b, jazz, country music, saying "yes/no ma'am" and/or "yes/no sir", and sayin "y'all". I don't mean to sound retarded when I mention all of these, but I'm just curious, do Northerners have any real unique culture traditions different from southern culture?
