    N-75 just repaired---Trouble

I just got my N-75 back from Jack's Place where he replaced my display. Non of my third party software works, I can't uninstall most of it and I can't reinstall most of it. The software that I can install have jar files and I can no longer install them. What's missing from my phone that is stopping me from installing the programs. Not real happy with his service, took two weeks for repair and now I can't reinstall my software.

do a hard reset, it should remove any app installed "On The Phone's Internal Memory"

then format your external memory(microSD), you can format it ON the Phone or Using your PC

Tried a hard reset. Did no good. Still can't remove any apps that I installed. Some of them I am able to copy over. Still can't install jar files.

If you did a true hard reset *#7370# and formatted the card, there's no way any of the files you added would remain on the phone.

Well, I beg to differ with you. Did a hard reset
*#7780# and it still will not let me remove files. Also put in blank memory card. Still can't install jar files, whats up with that?

It sounds like you need to do a full phone format *#7370#. Thats gonna wipe everything clean for you and you can start fresh. What you did *#7780# was a phone reset. It cleared your settings but did not delete all of your data. What's ailing your phone was likely not deleted doing a phone reset. I'd do the full format since the phone reset didn't work.

a hard reset is *#7370#. If you truly did one, you wouldnt be saying you still cant remove anything, because its all gone at that point. clean slate.

Your all right, when I called Jack's hee said to do a soft reset. Now going to try a hard reset. What will I lose from phone. It's unlocked and unbranded so don't care but what is the difference. Thanks for the info guys, appreciate it.
