I took my cat to the vet earlier today because he was in a lot of pain and couldn't move his back legs. It was discovered that he has a clot in his spine.

I found him this morning in the back office laying down. At first, there didn't seem to be anything wrong and I thought he was just resting there since he likes to choose random places to lay. But when I picked him up, he let out a big cry and kept meowing after that point. Then he tried to move and I noticed that he couldn't move his back legs. When he looked at me, he looked so defend-less and helpless and I just didn't know what to do. He may have to be put to sleep and I feel so bad for him that he may have been laying there for hours trying to call me for help and I wasn't there.

I also feel guilty because I think if I had found him earlier, maybe we could have treated him better.

Right now, I just want to go to the vet and be with Lucky (his name) and take care of him.

What do I do?
