    Can't download applications on iphone?

    Hello! I am having trouble downloading applications onto my sisters iphone 2g. The phone use to be mine, but I got a new 3g for christmas. I completely restored the iphone 2g back to it's factory settings and made my sister an iTunes account. She picked out and downloaded some applications and then when I tried to put the applications on it, they wouldn't upload onto the iphone. I have tried going to the application tab in itunes and selecting Sync Applications -All applications. It didn't work. What can I do?
