Bell TV announces Quebec only pricing

Wow, all these posts but it's really pretty simple.

The Quebec Basic is no longer offered in French or English versions on the new platform.

There is now only one 'bilingual' Basic for new customers in Quebec and it is 25$ (15$ after bundle).

In a nutshell, it's the same as the old digital standard + 'Le Monde en Francais' but it does not include the american networks and it does not include some of extra channels Bell threw into Digital Standard (W, Treehouse etc).

I call it a 'skinny' basic.

But what's cool is, if you don't really want the american networks in SD (the HD versions are included in basic for free), you now gain 8 extra picks (ABC, NBC, PBS & FOX x both feeds) in your A LA CARTE and save around 10$ compared to the old Digital Standard pricing.

The brochure really spells it out clearly for everyone.

And for the record, I would be really pi**ed if this was only available in another province. Hopefully, BellTV is only testing it out in QC before blowing it out nationally.

I have to wonder it that is discriminatory under Canadian law.

Must be an error in the Press Release.

    Basic is 25$.

    15$ after the bundle discount.

The brochure and my first invoice on the new platform confirm this.

$25 is the price after bundle discount ($5) and first year discount ($5) which may not apply to all customers. I always use the base price.

So I'm wondering if you can get the basic package for 15$ and then only add the extra HD theme packs and call it a day.

Oh look, some competition (Videotron) and we have pricing only available in a certain province where said competition exists (Quebec).

Why can't they just have the same prices across the country?

    Have to disagree here.

Website clearly shows 25$ base with 10$ bundle discount (not 5$ and a 5$ 1-year additional discount).

Here are the details from the website.

    http://www.bell.ca/shopping/PrsShpTv...#tabNavigation

This was also confirmed by the CSR when I switched over to the new platform.

Here is a copy of the brochure that also shows the 15$ net price.

    http://www.bell.ca/web/tv/en/qc/pdfs...s/channels.pdf

Got my online invoice today. Basic is 25$, Bundle discount 10$ = 15$.

Hope this is clear for everyone.

Yes, you can do this. The HD theme packs are still available at the same price.

But you still have to subscribe to TSN/TSN2 to get their HD Simulcast channels.

Now, I wish that Bell TV can offer a Basic Package in Western Canada that is competitive with Shaw and includes both TSN/TSN2 and Rogers SportsNet.
