Thread: Why do you think God planted a tree that Adam and Eve could not eat in the garden?

Genesis 2:17
"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die"

I have been asked this many times and I believe that it proves that God gives us a choice because He doesn't want puppets.

Do you really know what these 2 trees is. Because in Gen 1;29 God says of EVERY TREE is to be to you for meat. Those 2 trees is 2 laws of reproduction, & not literal trees, because they did NOT grow out of the ground as all the other trees did.
