How do i unlock my phone from t-mobile to orange?

Take it to a local phone shop, (I'd recommend a small shop, not a commercial company) and just ask the guy behind the counter to unlock it, basically T-Mobile will have put a code on the phone, to stop any other SIM cards working with the phone. The guy behind the counter will take the phone, remove the code that's blocking the other SIM cards, give it back to you and bang, you can use your Orange SIM card in the phone.

I know this works for Pay As You Go, not sure about Contracts however.

Also bare in mind that the newer the phone is, the guy might not be able to take the code off, because phone manufacturers don't always release unlock codes until a couple of months after the particular handset has been on sale.

Funny I should see this question lol, I just had my phone unlocked today, I can even tell you a price because of that, it cost me £15, so I imagine it would cost you somewhere in the same region, obviously new phones more, older phones less.

I've got a new SIM on orange but the phone was bought from t-mobile so doesn't work with orange SIM,how do i change this?
