Whenever I stay at other people's houses I have no problem going to sleep at a regular nighttime hour, yet at home, I cannot get to sleep before 2AM at EARLIEST. Often I am still up at 3 or 4. My entire family does this. I recently got back from a weekend at a friend's where I was waking at latest 10AM and heading to bed at latest 1AM. This routine has completely gone out of the window since I've got home because they treat nighttime like daytime - my siblings are often still blaring out music at 1 or 2 in the morning.

Do you think that the people around you can affect your sleep cycle (not necessarily because they're making noise)? And how do you stay in a regular sleep pattern when everyone else in the house acts like it's 12PM?!
