Hi all,
may be a newbie to this forum but i'm no noob.
First off, I have nearly every MFI available so far so if you need one PM me.
Second of all, I have been screwing around with my storm in very violent ways and yet to brick this thing, credits to blackberry for building such a solid device. (just for curiosity's sake i loaded the wrong MFI deliberately onto my BB, an hour later i had it running again nicely...) So anyone asking: "if i do this will it brick my phone..." or "can you try this for me cause i am scared that i will break my own expensive phone" should take a spoon full of 'Harden the frack up' and give it a go. worst case scenario is downloading javaloader from here:http://www.blackberryfreaks.com/JL_Cmder.html and wiping your device with option 4, then running BB desktop software and installing the official OS again in that 'update applications' area.
Now for my actual reason for posting...
Us BB Storm owners who cant use the current circulating MFI file 21968-001 will have to wait for another copy. The one out there at the moment fails because the MFI isn't "Crypto Signed". I am guessing that the first batch of storms were not signed in the same manner as the batch we're fighting with, and the MFI we currently have is for the older ones.
This ****s but that's where we are I think.
Also.....
For Vodafone AU customers, despite the fact that Storms can be unlocked with a code and that generally speaking you can easily get your phone's unlock code from Vodafone AU by simply calling up and saying you need it unlocked for an upcoming international trip you wont be able to this time...
Vodafone's IMEI based unlocking system does not include Vodafone's sold Storm handsets's IMEI numbers for the simple reason so that Vodafone staff cant generate them for you.
This means you need to go find yourself a '*******' mobile phone shop that can do it for you.
You can download the latest pack including new MFI files here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/2125273
Still doesn't unlock 9530 though, does it ?
this incluying the unlock for series 9xxx? and 8220
please the new mfi unlock 9500,9350,8220?
I greet, I have large problem, telephone blackberry 9500 storm. I received the code of picture of blockade simlock. ale code was incorrect unfortunately and I used all 10 possibility the inscription of code. telephone underwent total blocking. I had received correc code now and do not know as they would write to unblock telephone him. does some solution of my problem exist? I will be very grateful for help
No man, I have downloaded it already and tried to unlock for about 6 hrs of trial and error (also I have my balls around my neck... because most of the time the storm have the damn 'red blinking led'....)
That means that there is no applications on your phone just the Java base OS.
Simply open BB Desktop Manager and reinstall the Black Berry software.
You simply cannot brick the Storm or most RIM products that is you just have to love that... quality engineering, you hear that Nokia?... Start taking notes!
