Thread: are yamaha drum kits any good?

looking to get a fairly cheap but good drum kit, are yamaha kits good or is it just a waste of time and money

They are excellent. I played in the Symphonic Orchestra in New York for 8 years, and the conductor would live and die by a Yamaha drum kit. He performed for the President of the United States 3 times, and every time with a Yamaha drum kit. Now obviously he used very very high end equipment, but it was still a Yamaha none the less. It's worth the purchase. =)
