Which breastpump is better - Philips Avent Single Electric or Medela Swing

Single Electric? I have been using the Philips Avent Single Electric Pump for the past 6 months now but off late it has started making a lot of noise and I also feel that the suction is not that strong anymore. Im planning on buying the Medela swing, has anyone used it and felt that it helped to increase breastmilk quantitiy overall?

Yea I agree, from what I've seen from my wife's breast pump, Medela makes good quality stuff. Her's is the hand pump not the electric, but I've not seen another breast pump that looks as solid and well crafted as the Medela.

I was in the same situation, I use Avent single electric breast pump also and it started making a strange noise and stopped working, in the instruction manual it does say that the pump is under warranty for a year from purchase. I phoned the company and they sent out a replacement head motor, and now it works perfectly. I am in Australia, so I am not sure if they will do the same in your country but they seem like a great company with customer service.

But on the other hand if you want to upgrade I would suggest a Medela, but if you want to save some money maybe phone the company to explain what is happening to your motor pump.
